From Y 13 and Over States Meet Director: There has been a lot of confusion regarding the change in the allowance of entries from a 6 event limit to a 7 event limit. This was put in place to balance the scoring and remain a consistent as possible with the 12 & Under Championship. The problem is that we are limited to 550 swimmers per session at F&M, having 3 entries in a session pushes us over that limit. So in order to accommodate both you the coaches and F & M, we have made the following changes:

Friday 3/12/2010:
1. The 13/14 100 Butterfly for both the Boys and Girls have been moved to Sunrise sessions along with the 400 IM
2. The Distance session is running late so in order to give the swimmers more time between the 1000 and finals we are pushing finals back 30 minutes to a 6:15 start, we still will be done by 8:30.
3. Time trials will begin at approximately 3:30pm and run about 90 minutes (we hope to run both pools)

Saturday 3/13/2010:
1. The 15/18 50 free for both Boys and Girls have been moved to the Sunrise Sessions along with the 400 IM’s and 500 free having both 50’s to be run in championship pool.
2. There will be 350 swimmers in that session so we will be running 2 warm ups, and the session will begin @ 7:50 am
3. Warm-up for the main session will begin @ 9:15 am with a 10:30 start and an approximate finish at 1:15-1:30 pm
4. Finals will begin at normal time

Sunday 3/14/2010:
1. Daylight savings
2. The 13/14 50 free for both Boys and Girls have been moved to the Sunrise Sessions along with the 500 free
3. All other sessions will remain as normal 4. The 1650 sessions are running till after 3 pm so Time trials may be limited but we hope to run two pools I apologize for the late changes but it is best for the swimmers and facility.

Congratulations to Emily Schroeder for being selected to participate in the Zone Select Camp!

Two hundred and twenty four athletes from around the country, including 56 from the Eastern Zone, have been selected for the 2010 Zone Select Camps being held in May. The Zone Camps seek to identify emerging young athletes in each zone and offer them a unique motivational and educational experience. The Camps are viewed as an integral step for athletes to move from the local and zone level onto the national scene. The Zone Camps will be held in May and are sponsored by USA Swimming.

Hamilton Aquatics will be hosting two long course meets this summer!  Summer Solstice, June 19 and 20 at Rutgers University.   New Jersey 12 and Under Silver/Bronze Championships, July 17 and 18 at Princeton University.  Please put these dates on your calendar, more information will be provided as we get closer to the meets.
