YMCA Long Course National Championship (July 28 - 31, 2009)
Amanda Grant and Zach Mabin reached the finals at the YMCA Long Course National Championship held at the University of Maryland. Amanda placed 8th in the 50 Breast (35.28) and 22nd in the 100 Breast (1:17.79). Zach Mabin placed 22nd in the 200 Breast (2:35.89) as the youngest qualifier in the event at the age of 13.

Eastern Zone Age Group Long Course Championship (August 12-15, 2009)
Emily Schroeder and Griffin Hutton represented HACY at the Eastern Zone Age Group Long Course Championship held at Penn State University. Emily tied the state record with a time of 30.07 in the 50 Fly and placed first in the 100 Fly with a 1:06.34 in the girls 11-12 age group. She was also third in the 200 Fly and fifth in the 200 IM. Griffin placed 32nd in the 100 Fly in the boys 11-12 age group.

New Jersey Long Course Junior Olympics (July 30 - August 2, 2009)
Emily Schroeder was the high point scorer in the girls 11-12 age group at the New Jersey Junior Olympics held at Rutgers University. Emily finished first in the 200 Free (2:14.99), 400 Free (4:49.40), 50 Fly (30.19), 100 Fly (1:06.02), and 200 Fly (2:30.58). She was also second in the 50 Free, 100 Free and 200 IM, while finishing fourth in the 800 Free. This was Emily's third consecutive year winning a high scorer award. Griffin Hutton placed 7th in the 100 Fly and 8th in the 200 Fly while Matt Tees placed 7th in the 800 Free in the boys 11-12 age group.
